About CDSW
Children's Day School of Wilton (The Day School) is open to children ages two through five years
regardless of race, color, sex, national or ethnic origin or religious affiliation. Facilities include six
well-furnished classrooms, a music/movement room and four playgrounds complete with swings, jungle
gyms, slides, sandboxes and other outdoor equipment.
The Day School offers programs based on a traditional preschool approach. Our programs encourage
developmental learning through an ongoing pattern of exploration and growth. Students learn in small,
nurturing groups. The Day School follows age guidelines provided by the State and Wilton Public Schools
as to the enrollment of a child in their particular age-level program.
The Day School is committed to a consistent dialogue between parents and teachers. There are three
opportunities for parents to meet with teachers during the year and parents are free to contact teachers
or the Director at any time. The Day School also provides consultations with an Early Educational
Childhood Consultant as a service to families at the school.
Accreditation
The Day School is fully accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children
(NAEYC).
