Meet our Director

a letter from beth cristini

Hello Day School Families!

I hope that this letter finds you all happy and healthy!

A little bit about me! I graduated from Lafayette College with a degree in English.  I moved back home to Greenwich where I started working in a preschool.  After just a year, I realized that I had found my passion.  I then took a job as a 1st grade teacher at the Brunswick school while getting my master’s degree in education at Manhattanville College.  In 2001, I received my Masters in Elementary Education, got married, moved to Fairfield and began teaching 4th grade at Greens Farms Academy. That was a busy year!

In 2004, my husband, our 3-month old daughter, and I moved to Wilton.  I stopped teaching to raise my children.  When it came time to choose a preschool, we fell in love with The Day School.  It was the perfect fit for our family.  While my 4 children are very different, the school worked for all of them. Just as my youngest was entering the 3s, I took a job as a 4s teacher at The Day School.  That move back to teaching, fit into my life as a teacher and a mom.

Here I am nearly 10 years later in the role of director.  While every year has presented different challenges, most notably the pandemic year, I have watched the teachers and staff continue to put the needs and well-being of the children first.  I feel incredibly lucky to work with such a wonderful group of women, and I look forward to this next stage.

Have a wonderful rest of your summer, and don’t hesitate to reach out!
